Board Certified Orthodontist, Dr. Kristen Fritz, was born in New Jersey but spent the majority of her childhood living in Northern Virginia. Her family was relocated to Paris, France, where she spent three years of her high school career and graduated from the American School of Paris. She moved back to the States in 1998 to attend the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, and graduated with High Honors in 2002 with a Bachelors of Arts in Economics.

She continued her education at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in Richmond, Virginia where she graduated at the top of her class in 2007. Throughout her education Dr. Fritz received many academic honors including membership in Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and became a Hinman Scholar.

After dental school, Dr. Fritz received her specialty training in Orthodontics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry where she graduated with her Master’s of Science in Dentistry. While attending UNC, she received two National Research Awards from the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine for her research in sleep disorders affecting pediatric orthodontic patients. Dr. Fritz has obtained the highest level of recognition that an orthodontist can receive by achieving Board Certification from the American Board of Orthodontics.

Dr. Fritz is a lifelong student who enjoys regularly attending continuing education lectures to stay informed about the latest advances in Orthodontics. She is a member of many professional associations including the American Association of Orthodontics, Southern Association of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society and Wake County Dental Society.

Dr. Fritz loves spending time with her two sons, Colin and Ryan, and her husband, Gabe. In her leisure time Dr. Fritz enjoys playing golf, working out, traveling, and coaching youth sports.

Dr. Fritz’s favorite part of her job is getting to know her patients and their families and forming lasting relationships.

Born in eastern North Carolina, Dr. Wilson graduated from Spring Creek High School and earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from UNC Wilmington. He went on to receive his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, then pursued his advanced specialty training in orthodontics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry, graduating with a Master’s of Science in Orthodontics. Dr. Wilson has also obtained the highest level of recognition that an orthodontist can receive by achieving Board Certification from the American Board of Orthodontics.

Dr. Wilson has been involved in a few different areas of orthodontic-related research. During dental school, he worked with a 3D study, assessing the skeletal changes associated with orthodontic treatment with the Herbst appliance. Also during dental school, he was published for his work on evaluating 3D airway changes associated with orthopedic changes in jaw position. He then went on to write his Master’s thesis on skeletal assessment of growth in growing patients.

When he’s not working, Dr. Wilson spends most his free time with his wife, Erica, and their two children, Sadie and Grayson. He is a UNC basketball fan who enjoys working out, playing basketball and tennis, and running.
