What does my free first visit include?
Your first visit to us won’t cost you a thing. We want you to feel comfortable with your decision to start treatment with us.
Your first visit includes:
- Comprehensive orthodontic exam, including digital x-rays, photos and digital scans with the iTero® Element intraoral scanner
- One-on-one consultation with one of our board-certified orthodontists, Dr. Fritz or Dr. Wilson
- Cost and insurance review to create a custom payment plan that suits your budget
You can fill out your new patient forms online, before your first visit, for an easy check-in process.
When you visit us, our goal is to show you around, introduce you to your team, examine your smile, explore your treatment options, and create a personalized treatment plan that results in a selfie-ready smile.
Your Initial Exam
During the initial examination for each patient, we will address the following questions that cover the basics of orthodontic treatment. We encourage you to ask questions as well.
- Is there a condition that orthodontics can address?
- Is treatment needed now or should treatment be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption or other factors have occurred?
- What treatment procedures will be used to correct the problem?
- Do any permanent teeth need to be removed?
- How long will treatment take?
- How much will it cost?
- What are my payment options?
While we can often answer these general questions about treatment during the initial examination, we will address specific areas after careful analysis of the diagnostic records. It is important to analyze each patient’s specific needs, because in-depth planning leads to superior results and higher patient satisfaction.
Can I start treatment during my first visit?
You sure can! We’re proud to offer same day braces for patients who want to start their transformation right away.
If you tell us that you’re interested in same day braces, we’ll reserve time to start your treatment on the same day as your consultation. You can leave our office with top braces on your teeth, or your clear aligner scan complete.

What to Expect
Step 1: Meet your team →
First, you’ll be greeted with a smile from our friendly team. (You can expect this at every visit!)
Our new patient coordinator will give you a tour of the office and get to know a little bit about you. Next, we’ll begin your orthodontic exam.
Step 2: Get digital x-rays, scans & photos →
Using the advanced iTero® Element digital scanner, we’ll take quick impressions of your teeth and bite. (None of that weird goopy putty necessary.)
The iTero device produces an easy, comfortable digital scan for your orthodontist to assess your smile, but it can also create a simulated preview of your treatment results. You’ll get a sneak peek of your beautiful new smile before you even begin treatment.
We’ll take digital x-rays with our low-radiation digital x-ray machine. Your orthodontist will use these diagnostic photos, digital impression scans and x-rays to create your personalized treatment plan.
Step 3: Meet your orthodontist →
We’ll head over to our consultation room where you’ll meet your orthodontist! Dr. Fritz or Dr. Wilson will perform an in-person detailed exam of your teeth and bite.
Your orthodontist will discuss all findings with you, present you with our treatment options, and discuss what you can expect throughout your orthodontic journey.
We’ll answer all of your questions and tell you everything you need to know about your upcoming transformation with braces or clear aligners.
Step 4: Pick an affordable payment plan →
Our new patient coordinator will sit down with you and work out a financial plan to cover the cost of braces or clear aligners.
We’ll discuss your needs, calculate your insurance benefit, and develop a payment plan.
Step 5: Prepare for a life-changing smile →
Get ready to smile! If you choose a same day start, we can place your braces or begin the clear aligner transformation process on your very first visit.
